The Tuckerton Historical Society has an extensive collection of photographs, news articles, documents, and memorabilia regarding the Tuckerton Wireless tower. Duke Dupuis and Pete Stemmer, Society members and local historians, are currently inventorying, organizing, and analyzing our collection of Wireless data in an effort to develop and publish a comprehensive book on the Tuckerton Wireless. Research is also being done to find information that is missing from our collection. Presently the focus of this research is on information related to the planning, land acquisition, and construction of the support block structures for the tower. Anyone with any information related to the Tuckerton Wireless Tower (photos, documents, letters, diaries, olds news articles, info on local people who helped build the Wireless complex, etc.) are encouraged to stop by the Museum on Wednesdays from 10 AM to 4 PM or email Pete Stemmer at petestemmer@gmail.com. We believe that there is valuable information out there that will enable us to document some of the unknown aspects of the Tuckerton Wireless' interesting history. |
